“Les Transformateurs” proposes a new transition that is marked by political openness, by bringing together all forces in order to lay the foundations of a stable and inclusive system.
In the aftermath of the legislative and local elections, the party “Les Transformateurs” is pleased that its call for a boycott has been respected.
In a press release signed by its president Succes Masra, the party describes the transition that is coming to an end as a “resounding failure.”
Masra said “The only elements that were supposed to guarantee its success, namely free, inclusive and incontestable elections, have clearly not been forthcoming”.
According to the party, “the massive boycott of December 29 demonstrates the lucidity of the people who no longer want prefabricated results to be imposed on them.”
He said in view of an electoral crisis, “Les Transformateurs” proposes a “new transition…this is the best way to abandon the path of electoralism and electoral theft and move towards true democracy based
on the truth of the ballot boxes”.
The party insists on the need to learn from previous failures and act quickly to avoid plunging the country into a new period of unrest and instability.
In its press release, “Les Transformateurs” calls for collective awareness and urges political leaders to show lucidity in the face of the urgency of the situation. The statement conclude by recalling that the Chadian people aspire to a democratic future and institutions capable of meeting their expectations.
