The Malian army says it “neutralised” at least six terrorists during strikes in the Kidal region in the far north.
According to a statement, fighter jets carried out strikes, the first of which neutralised six terrorists camouflaged under a tree.
The second strike, which took place to the south-east of Abeibara, a town in Kidal, neutralised “a pick-up truck and its occupants”.
According to the Malian army press release, these strikes followed the discovery of hidden bases of armed terrorist groups in certain localities in the Kidal region.
Last Tuesday, the Malian army also said it killed a dozen terrorists in the Gao region in the north and destroyed several terrorist nests and equipment as a result of its air strikes.
