Abstract: The issue of renewable energy has taken the attention of specialized international organizations and institutions with the aim of reducing the use of non-renewable fossil fuels because of the huge amounts of pollutants that result in all their forms, and striving for an inexhaustible energy resource that does not have a negative impact on the environment. Recently, interest has increased to produce electricity from solar energy in search of clean energy. In view of the above, the research entitled “the production of electricity from solar energy in Africa” was concerned with studying and monitoring several points represented in: the geographical distribution of existing solar energy projects in Africa, the geographical distribution of electricity production from solar energy at the level of African countries, and the number of hours of solar brightness In Africa, and the future of electricity production from solar energy in Africa, in order to reach a future map of electricity production sites.
الملخص: أخذ موضوع الطاقة المتجددة اهتمام المنظمات والمؤسسات الدولية المختصة بغرض الحد من استخدام الوقود الأحفوري غير المتجدد لما يترتب عليه من كميات هائلة من الملوثات بكافة أشكالها، والسعي من أجل الحصول على مورد طاقة لا ينضب وليس له أثراً سلبياً على البيئة. وقد تزايد الاهتمام في الآونة الأخيرة لإنتاج الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية بحثاً عن طاقة نظيفة. ولما سبق أهتم البحث المعنون بـ "رؤية مستقبلية لإنتاج الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية في إفريقيا" بدراسة ورصد عدة نقاط تمثلت في: التوزيع الجغرافي لمشروعات الطاقة الشمسية القائمة في إفريقيا، والتوزيع الجغرافي لإنتاج الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية على مستوى الدول الإفريقية، وعدد ساعات السطوع الشمسي في إفريقيا، ومستقبل إنتاج الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية في إفريقيا وذلك بغرض الوصول إلى خريطة مستقبلية لمواقع انتاج الكهرباء.
