The research/article must align with the journal’s objectives and general policies.
Submissions must demonstrate originality, innovation, scientific and methodological rigor, linguistic accuracy, and high-quality writing.
Research must adhere to the principles and standards of research and publication ethics, employing recognized methodologies, tools, and techniques relevant to its field.
The research topic must fall within the journal’s area of focus, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa.
Avoid defamatory or non-constructive criticism of individuals, organizations, or states.
The researcher must guarantee that their submission is original, unpublished (in whole or in part), not extracted from a master’s thesis, doctoral dissertation, published book, or prior academic participation. It must not be submitted elsewhere concurrently. Submission to the journal constitutes acknowledgment of these conditions.
For co-authored works, the primary researcher must obtain the consent of all contributors and detail their respective contributions.
The maximum length of the submission is 12 pages, equating to 4,000–5,000 words.
The citation ratio must not exceed 22%.
Research should not be divided into serialized parts.
The journal will acknowledge receipt of submissions within three working days of submission.
Submissions undergo an initial editorial review to determine eligibility for external review. Researchers will be notified of the preliminary decision within two working weeks of acknowledgment of receipt. The journal reserves the right to reject submissions at any stage without providing reasons.
Submissions exceeding 6,500 words will be returned for reduction. If under 6,500 words, the editorial team may reduce content to meet publication needs without altering key ideas or content.
Researchers will be informed of the peer review results within two working weeks of receiving reviewers’ feedback. If rejected, the researcher will be notified, but the journal is not obligated to provide reasons.
Submissions requiring revisions will be returned to authors for modification. Authors must adhere to the reviewers’ comments and provide justifications for any unaddressed recommendations. Final versions must be resubmitted within the specified timeframe.
Upon final approval and incorporation of reviewer feedback, the researcher will receive a publication acceptance statement.
If the submission is not accepted for publication, the journal will issue a rejection letter without obligation to provide reasons.
The journal reserves the right to request rephrasing of the submission or its parts to align with its editorial policies and may adjust titles or phrasing as needed.
Researchers are responsible for any costs incurred during the review process if they withdraw their submission and opt not to proceed.
The journal does not enforce a single reporting structure due to the diversity of research topics but expects submissions to include:
An introduction covering background, significance, and relevant literature.
A clearly defined research problem tied to the introduction.
A methodology suitable for the research problem, including quantitative or qualitative data collection and clear research assumptions.
Results and discussion framed within a solid conceptual structure, reflecting the researcher’s engagement with the topic and leading to conclusions and recommendations.
The first page of the submission must include the title, author(s)’ name(s), affiliation(s), address(es), email(s), and submission date. To ensure anonymity in the peer review process, no identifying information should appear in the main text.
An abstract must be provided in Arabic (maximum 150 words) and English (maximum 250 words), each on a separate page. Each abstract should include a research title (up to 20 words) and five keywords in both languages, excluding any author-identifying information.
Upon acceptance, authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Priority for publication is determined by submission date, thematic coherence, and editorial policies.
Submissions must be accompanied by a brief researcher biography and a recent photograph.
Research must be formatted as a Microsoft Word document and submitted via email to editors@qiraat.org.
Authors will receive three copies of the journal and five reprints of their article upon request.
Published research reflects the views of the authors and does not necessarily represent the opinions of the journal or the Sub-Saharan Research Center. Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their research.
