<\/a>Abstract:<\/span><\/strong>
<\/bdo>\nThere are many different approaches seen as a path to economic development, but the actual reality has proven the failure of some experiments that focused largely on achieving quantitative rather than qualitative economic growth, especially when African peoples suffered from living conditions that were incompatible with their needs. Here, the most prominent trend that the development process has focused on since the 1990s is what is known as human development\u2014meaning that the primary goal of development is to advance people and their abilities, and improve their standard of living and quality of life. This was followed by trends toward sustainability in its various aspects.\n\nThe African continent was not isolated from these modern trends; its Agenda 2063 focused on various development strategies. It highlighted key modern pathways to achieve that development: enhancing continental integration, shifting toward sustainable economic growth, advancing the green and blue economies, and strengthening the role of the knowledge economy.\n\nDespite the challenges facing these new development transformations due to the continent\u2019s political, economic, and social conditions, they are considered positive steps toward comprehensive and sustainable transformation. This has become particularly vital following recent global crises\u2014marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war\u2014which underscored the necessity for Africa to raise its economic development levels, secure its essential needs, and bolster relations among neighboring African countries through effective regional integration, alongside the imperative of implementing a green economy and shifting toward the digital economy.\n\nThe study concluded that focusing on a single element to achieve economic development is largely inadequate for reaching the desired goals in Africa. Instead, development dimensions reinforce one another, demonstrating the necessity of integrating political, economic, and cultural spheres to keep pace with evolving development objectives in a manner that serves the African continent and its peoples.\n<\/span><\/pre>\n\n\n
