<\/bdo>  This study examines the future of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), which began operations on January 1, 2025, in light of the security, political, and economic challenges facing the country. The study aimed to evaluate the mission's effectiveness during its previous phases and to identify future alternatives and options for Somalia after the withdrawal of African forces, whether through capacity-building of national forces or the introduction of a new mission under the umbrella of the United Nations.\n  Using a descriptive and analytical approach, the study reviewed the historical and security context in which the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) was established, and the various stages of its mission's development spanning between the years 2007-2025. It also highlights its security and political gains, the content of the Uganda 2025 Summit and the countries' positions on it, and the challenges it faced, including weak coordination among international partners, the absence of a clear exit strategy, and delayed capacity building for the Somali National Army.\n  The study concluded that the mission's withdrawal under the current reality poses significant risks unless decisive measures are taken to strengthen national security, achieve internal political consensus, and build institutions capable of maintaining security and stability after the departure of African forces.\n<\/span><\/pre>\n\n\n
