Carlos Queiroz was re-appointed Ghana coach for an indeterminate period on Wednesday, \u200btwo months after stepping down in the \u200cwake of the country’s World Cup campaign.<\/p>\n
The experienced former Iran, Portugal, Colombia and Egypt coach \u200btook the Black Stars to the \u200bRound of 32 at the World Cup \u2060despite having only a couple of \u200bmonths to prepare them for the tournament.<\/p>\n
The \u200bGhana Football Association (GFA) said the 73-year-old Portuguese coach would “embark on a new coaching mandate, commencing with the \u200bupcoming international window”.<\/p>\n
“The GFA believes Queiroz’s \u200bextensive international experience, technical expertise and knowledge of the \u200cBlack \u2060Stars position him strongly to lead the team into this next chapter,” the GFA said in a statement.<\/p>\n
“Further details on the \u200bnew mandate \u200band the \u2060Black Stars’ upcoming programme will be announced in due course …”<\/p>\n
