Africa’s most populous \u2060nation’s economy has been gathering momentum, expanding 3.87% \u200bin real terms in 2025 compared with 3.38% in \u200b2024. However, growth remains well below the 7% annual rate that President Bola Tinubu has targeted by 2027.<\/p>\n
“Nigeria’s growth is \u200bbeing driven by domestic momentum which global headwinds \u200bhave been unable to derail,” said Karim Noujaim, managing partner \u200cat \u2060Skykapital Europe.<\/p>\n
“Looking further ahead, we anticipate large-scale capital investments and structural reforms will enhance business connectivity and boost worker productivity over time.”<\/p>\n
Tinubu is expected to seek \u200bre-election for \u200ba second \u2060and final four-year term in presidential elections due in early 2027. The vote \u200bis likely to be seen as a \u200btest \u2060of his administration’s performance on the economy and security.<\/p>\n
