Headline inflation in the East African country rose to 4.0% year-on-year in July, up from \u200b3.7% in the previous month.<\/p>\n
“The current \u200binflation data does not show a broader price \u200cpressure \u2060spreading through the economy as a result of the increase in the oil prices,” Governor Michael Atingi-Ego told a \u200bpress conference.<\/p>\n
The \u200bBank of \u2060Uganda targets core inflation of 5% over the medium term.<\/p>\n
