In 2023, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/en\/results\/2023\/12\/01\/mobilizing-the-private-sector-to-drive-development-in-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Bank <\/a>notes that more and better private sector jobs are needed to improve the lives and livelihoods of people in the region.<\/p>\n<p>According to the UNECA new estimate suggests a financing gap of $2.5 trillion for all emerging and developing countries and $200 billion\u2013$1.3 trillion for Africa. Because Africa\u2019s population is expected to grow by 43% over 2015\u20132030, the gap could reach $19.5 trillion by 2030.
