The government in Botswana has stopped vaccination in some regions saying doses allocated to them have been depleted.

The country has so far vaccinated 17,808 people, according to data from the health ministry.

People in those regions have been advised to wait for the next shipment.

The government listed seven areas that will be affected.

Next vaccine shipment is expected in weeks, according to the health ministry.

Meanwhile President Mokgweetsi Masisi has moved a night curfew to start at 22:00 local time (20:00 GMT) from the earlier start time of 20:00 local time.

Botswana has 40,998 coronavirus cases including 663 deaths, according to the health ministry.
