Abstract: The ethnic medicine has an old multi-facets existance in the African culture as well as in other cultures. In this regards, the present paper is an attempt to explore the ethnic medicine in Africa in the lights of its Islamic influences. This is achieved through a socio-historical approach of the Ethnic medicine, some of its principles in the lights of the Islamic vision towards Medicine and its practices. Also, this paper attempted to explore the ethnic medicine practices among three of the Muslim ethnic groups in Africa; namely: the Zaramo, the Hausa and the Tuareg. Doing so, the paper discovered the presence of a deep and versified Islamic influences on the medical thought and practices among these thnic groups. These influences are the result of the the principle of harmony and acceptance adopted by Islam towards other civilizations, not the principle of negation and clash which is the attitude of the Western Imperialist powers towards the African civilization and its ethnic medicine.
الملخص: للطبِّ الإثني حضورٌ قديم متعدِّد الجوانب في الثَّقافة الأفريقيَّة مثلما الثَّقافات البشريَّة الأخرى، وقد حاولت الورقة الحاليَّة استجلاء بعض صُوَر هذا الطِّب ومدى التَّأثير الإسلاميِّ فيه، وكان ذلك عبر رصدٍ تاريخيٍّ اجتماعيٍّ للطِّب الإثني بأفريقيا، والنَّظر في بعض ركائزه وأسُسه في ضوء الرُّؤية الإسلاميَّة لعلم الطِّب وممارسته. كما حاولت هذه الورقة تلمُّس مدى التَّأثير الإسلاميِّ في الممارسات الطِّبيَّة عبر شواهد تاريخيَّة ومؤلَّفاتٍ طبيَّة ظهرتْ في ظلِّ الحضارة الإسلاميَّة بأفريقيا، وعند مجموعات زرامو، وهَوْسا، والطَّوارق. عليه، فقد اكتشفت هذه الورقة وجود تأثيرٍ عميقٍ للإسلام في الطِّب الإثنيِّ بأفريقيا فكرًا وممارسة، خاصَّةً عند الإثنيَّات الثَّلاث المذكورة. وجاء هذا التَّأثير في سياق مبدأ التَّناغُم والقبول، والبناء والعطاء الذي تنتهجه الحضارة الإسلاميَّة إزاء جميع الحضارات، لا التَّنافر والصِّدام والنَّفي والإنكار، دَيْدَن الفكر الإمبريالي الغربي إزاء الحضارة الأفريقيَّة. هذا، وإنَّ الورقة الحاليَّة لَتأمُلُ من الباحثين متابعة البحث في هذا الموضوع بتوسيع مداه؛ ليشمل مجموعاتٍ إثنيَّة مسلمة أخرى بأفريقيا. بل حتى تلك المجموعات القليلة الاحتكاك بالإسلام وحضارته.
